The Real "American Pie"

All the way from Baxter, MN, Matt Scalo, the older brother to Serious Meat and myself, brings us a nice beef tip dinner that he really seemed to have enjoyed. I feel that this post should be read while listening to some soft romantic melodies while holding hands with a loved one. Matt enjoyed this so much he said he would rather wake up next to the apple pie than his wife...so Matt, was Stiffler and the boys right in American Pie when they said "It feels like warm apple pie"?

"Tucked away in the northern pines at the historic Grand View Lodge in Minnesota we came across these gems...
Filet beef tips with red wine mushroom sauce, rice pilaf and broccoli.
Followed by crisp apples nestled in a cinnamon and sugar crumb blanket, sweetly kissing home made whipped cream and vanilla ice cream.
The Blackberry photos don't do these two justice. Trust me when I say given the choice of waking up next to these two or Bri, well, here is a blanket babe and there is the couch."
